MY PRACTICE

My counseling practice is child-focused and family-centered and specializes in providing psychotherapy to meet the mental health needs of children & teenagers AND strives to promote the well-being of each unique family system as a whole.

I am a trauma-informed child and family therapist, qualified to address a variety of childhood mental health concerns including: attachment disruption, trauma, anxiety, depression, gender dysphoria, OCD, sexual abuse, family conflict and transitions, grief, developmental disorders, the psycho/social impact of a medical diagnosis or a learning disability (including helping families advocate for their teen/child in the educational setting). I also have extensive experience providing group and individual support for children & teens with neurodivergent identities/diagnoses including ADHD & Autism Spectrum Disorder.

I am an intuitive and eclectic therapist and I incorporate many theories and modalities into my work including: internal & external family systems and relational psychodynamic theories, as well as utilize cognitive/behavioral, psycho-educational, play therapy, art therapy and sand tray therapy modalities. My therapeutic style with children & teens is warm, playful, and integrative in nature, grounded in a thorough understanding of childhood development and ongoing advances in developmental neurobiology. My clinical specialty is utilizing play therapy and sand tray therapy with those experiencing issues related to trauma, grief, and loss.

I am a licensed out of network provider with all insurance plans. This means that many of my client families are able to get reimbursed (partially or fully) for my services. My clients pay me directly at the time of service (cash, check, credit or HSA account) and I provide a detailed monthly billing invoice that contains all the necessary information needed for insurance providers. A good faith estimate (GFE) is provided to all client families when we begin our work together and annually after that. If you are interested in seeking insurance reimbursement, I am happy to answer questions and provide assistance. I also offer reduced fee therapy appointments as needed and by request. Ask me!

I am an approved clinical supervisor. This means that I have met all of the licensure, experience, and course requirements outlined by the Washington State Department of Health and am able to provide clinical supervision to other child and family therapists seeking full LMHC, MSW & LMFT licensure in the state of Washington.

My office is fully ADA accessible, and is inclusive and welcoming to ALL client families.
